Happy Tuesday!
First, I have to say it: Inauguration was awesome!
I love my President and Vice President! (and their families!)
Back to the real world:
I'm killing my squats and pushups for the challenges, but I must confess - I gave up on the burpee challenge after the third day! I just suck at burpees! I mean really bad. I was afraid I'd end up on my nose on the concrete, and I just wasn't that into it. I know, I suck. I don't care. I'll figure them out in the spring. ;)
I've discovered that it can be really hard to eat every three hours. I'm finding it really hard to do, and now I've been stuck at the same weight for the past two weeks. I'm having to push myself to drink all the water I need because it's not something I enjoy in the winter. On the other hand, I'm now eating oatmeal every morning. I don't know what it is about it, but I'm really loving it!
I've added more to my arms workout and I'm telling myself I can already feel a difference. I really need to get my pullup bar installed. I meant to already have it up, but things just aren't getting done like I want them to. I've reduced my cardio to two days a week due to laziness, and I'm absolutely sure I need to fix that. Good gourd, do I really need an hour of cardio every freakin' day???
I think I just need the warm weather to get here. NOW!
O...M...G!

Happy New Year!
It's been a while since I last posted, but it's a new year and maybe I can stick with it this time. :) We'll see how it goes.I lost 25 pounds in 2012 and I feel so much better thanks to clean eating!
What I'm doing now:
- I'm actively searching for a job.
- I'm patiently waiting on classes to start in a couple of weeks.
- I'm going back to eating clean after a two week break for the holidays.
- I'm doing the green smoothie challenge. (Love 'em, but I get so tired of washing the blender!)
- I'm doing a push-up challenge. (The desk kind for now.)
- I'm doing a burpees challenge. (I really suck at these.)
- I'm doing a squat challenge. (Love 'em! They make me feel strong!)
Here's our little Christmas tree!
I'd leave it up all year long if I had the room for it!

15 pounds! I've lost 15 pounds! That feels SO good!
Hot, hot, hot outside, but I met my sister at the track today and we walked/jogged for about an hour altogether. Hopefully, it'll do us both some good.
Tomorrow is a cooking day. I've got a whole pork loin thawing in the fridge, and a couple of rolls of ground turkey waiting on me to decide what to do with it. I'm thinking I'll make one roll into patties, and maybe a pot of chili with the other. I've got a new bottle of (very) hot sauce that Mom brought back from Louisiana, and chili would be the perfect place to try it out.
Tomorrow is my weights day too, and I'll be adding my new exercises. Hope it helps me get where I want to be!

It's been a long week!
Doctors, Dentist, and hundreds of miles to get it all done! Tuesday was a trip to Lexington, and since I haven't had a "free" day in over two months, I knew I was having some dirty food along the way!
Breakfast was a Clif Bar and water, but boy did we fall off the wagon after that!
Lunch was Frisch's! I had a Big Boy Platter with onion rings and sweet potato fries. I think I had about a pint of tartar sauce on my own! I almost made it through the sandwich and half of my onion rings, but we brought the rest of it home, and ended up throwing it away.
Dessert was from Gigi's Cupcakes in Lexington! I had the Lemon Dream Supreme (awesome!), my daughter had the Turtle Cheesecake, and we took home a Wedding Cake for my son, a Midnight Magic for my other daughter, a Coconut Cream Pie for my mom, and a S'mores for everybody to try. While everything tasted good, it's hard to eat a whole cupcake like this after you've been eating clean. Nobody ate their whole cupcake, and they ended up in the garbage too.
So, while it was a "free" day, it wasn't as bad as it could have been. It only affected the scale for a day or two, and thanks to adding another day of cardio to my week, I've finally gotten rid of the couple of pounds that keep coming and going, plus another half! I have officially lost 13 pounds! Yea, me!

It's been a busy morning around here!
The kitchen's sure been getting a workout today!- I've cooked a pot of clean turkey chili and some whole wheat macaroni.
- My bananas for our smoothies were finally ripe enough to put in the freezer!
- I experimented with a batch of kale chips. I'm not impressed. I'll have to try those again.
- Made two batches of sweet potato chips. Not really chips because mine always stay soft, but they're round!
No workout today with a home full of other people's kids, but maybe I'll get in a walk later when I run them all to town.
